I went to a golf simulator today. Can you believe that the golf simulator near my house only charges $10 an hour? And $5 beers? I had a great time and hit some bombs. I touched 167mph ball speed off the driver, which is pretty impressive considering how little I practice. I still know that my next course visit will entail $40 worth of balls in the water, but we'll take the small victories.
Chinese
I completed my Chinese lesson today, but it was a quantity-over-quality one. I was confident that I could take this lesson while doing chores, which was a terrible idea. I couldn't tell you a single new thing that was covered today. I know it was more work regarding dining with a friend, but I must retake this tomorrow.
Project
Oh boy, am I excited to talk about this one. Actually, I am probably jumping the gun here. Today, I decided to work on my Python skills, as they have gradually deteriorated since graduation. I dug through my prior coursework and pulled out an old project involving some data wrangling and visualization. Long story short, I am pleased to report that I have still got it. It definitely was an easier task, but I completed it using Jupyter's notebook way more efficiently than I thought I would. I am still yet to write the descriptions and markdown, so I will share my complete work tomorrow.
Self-Improvement
Hopped on Nvidia's earnings call today. It was extremely interesting, especially the bit where they said the thing that led to my investment in them dropping 7%. I'm not sure how this happened even though they beat expectations, but I guess when you've been on a hot streak like they have, a slight increase in EPS isn't enough to please investors.
Professional Development
I didn't really develop professionally today. I worked in the office if that counts. Oh, I guess I also was given some additional responsibilities in planning a happy hour tomorrow. Please vote on whether to go to a rooftop bar or a dive one.
